What makes a good logo?

To make a good logo you need a bold, bright use of colours to attract people to it and to make the logo memorable. Also by using the name of the company this helps people recognise the logo.
It’s describable, memorable, effective without colour, it’s relevant to the industry in question.

My target audience is young teeangers and adults.
what do i need to do to appeal to my target audience in my designs?
to appeal to young teenagers i will need to make the website a bright website to keep them interested, including pictures and also maybe quizzes. For the adults i would make sure i had indepth information about the website and charity, i would also give links to numbers and emails for them to contact.

Charity Logos

In all these logos there isn't a wide range of colours, i think this could be because it makes the logos more bold and therefore make there target audiences recognise them more easily than if they had lots of colours and were very complicated. By looking at these logos i think ive learnt that to make a good logo it needs to have a use of at least one main colour and possible a second colour, it needs to be a bold logo and not have a lot going on other wise this can make it complicating for the audience to recognise.

All of these charitie websites which i have found all have there navigation bars at the top of the page and show pictures of who there charitie are aimed at. All websites have their own colour scheme, logos and name for there charitie.

Pleminary task website

My website meets the requirments of a normal school website. I have included a school logo, school colour scheme, pictures, pages about the school, subjects, school years and children. I have included pages one for adults and another for the children to play on, there are pictures to show the adults the school but mainly the children so that they can see what the children get up too at school and what facilities there are at the school.

To improve my website i need to make what will show as my full front page smaller so that the important things are shown, this includes the whole of the navigation bar. I also would need to add more information for the adults to hear more about the school, maybe a page on the headteacher and teachers or even a video where they can be seen talking about the school and possible achivements.
