Non Verbal Communication

Expression- based on the look on the persons face or the look of the picture chosen.

Eye contact- the appeal of the picture to them .

Clothes-important as they communicate to the audience .

Body movement- relates to the act that the actor is presenting. Positional communication Relationships between the actor shown in the picture, the direction they are facing, the height. These can show their relationships and status.

Reciprocal- a two-way relationship in which each person is the centre of the other’s attention. For example two people looking at each other.

Divergent- each person’s attention is diverted towards something different. For example everyone in a photo could be looking at a stage where someone is stood.

Object- the attention of each person is directed towards the same object. For example again everyones attention can be seen by someone standing on something high and everyone looking up to them.

Photography, Composition and Non Verbal communication

Eye flow - A photo where the viewer has to look through the entitre frame.

Dominant element - This is where there is only one image but this one image can be a single object or a relationship.

Simplicity - this is where the final image is the essential scene.

Balance - It may be symmetric or asymmetric, subtle or obvious.

This first photo shows just the flower with nothing around it, this can be seen as a nice picture but mostly a boring picture, where as in this second photo we have the daisy far away with other daisys around it, this make the photo more exciting.
