colour theory

Triad colours uses three colours equally spaced around the colour wheel. This scheme is popular among artists because it offers strong visual contrast while retaining harmony and colour richness. The triadic scheme is not as contrasting as the complementary scheme, but it looks more balanced and harmonious.

Split complementary is a variation of the standard complementary scheme. It uses a colour and the two colours adjacent to its complementary. This provides high contrast without the strong tension of the complementary scheme.

The complementary colours consists of two colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel. This scheme looks best when you place a warm colour against a cool colour, for example, red versus green-blue. This scheme is intrinsically high-contrast.

The analog colours have colours that are adjacent to each other on the colour wheel. One colour is used as a dominant colour while others are used to enrich the scheme.

my logo designs

PADL - peoples animal defence league.
I have made up this charitie, it is similar to the RSPCA.

The logo which is more suitable would either of the animals because the charitie i am aiming mine at is animals in general, but if there was just a charitie on dogs for example you'd only use the dog. Or the foot print would be a good logo for animals in general because it doesnt symbolize a certain animals foot.

What makes a good logo?

To make a good logo you need a bold, bright use of colours to attract people to it and to make the logo memorable. Also by using the name of the company this helps people recognise the logo.
It’s describable, memorable, effective without colour, it’s relevant to the industry in question.

Examples of websites similar to mine

who is your target audience?
My target audience is young teeangers and adults.
what do i need to do to appeal to my target audience in my designs?
to appeal to young teenagers i will need to make the website a bright website to keep them interested, including pictures and also maybe quizzes. For the adults i would make sure i had indepth information about the website and charity, i would also give links to numbers and emails for them to contact.
